Intermedia Gallery Group (IGG)
What is IGG?
Intermedia Gallery Group is a volunteer based, student-run organization consisting primarily of undergraduate art students here at Eastern. Our mission is to provide an open environment for students to experience operating within a gallery setting through the coordination of exhibitions and special events.
How Can I Get Involved?
There are plenty of ways- Most often members will volunteer for shifts as Gallery Guard. This is the best way to help the organization and our fellow EMU art students, as it means keeping the space open to the public. There are also opportunities to volunteer every other weekend to participate in installations and de-installations of work. Beyond that, you may become an IGG Board Member- a student officer who helps maintain the space and exhibition schedule. Board elections are held towards the end of every semester. Positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications, Graphic Designer, and Reception Photographer. IGG Gallery guarding and Installation/De-installation hours can count towards needed volunteer hours (Honors College). Look below for a list of upcoming exhibitions & meetings.
